This 2-Ingredient Crockpot Bread Recipe is so easy to make!
This is probably the easiest homemade bread recipe you will ever come across. It doesn’t require proofing or any time for the dough to rise. And it only takes a little over 2 hours to bake in your slow cooker.
How to Make Crockpot Bread
- All you need to make this 2-ingredient bread recipe is self-rising flour and Greek yogurt.
- You mix the two ingredients together. Then you put the dough in a loaf pan and put the loaf pan in a Crockpot.
- Then you bake the bread in the slow cooker for 2 hours and 15 minutes.
Substitutions:
You can use non-fat Greek yogurt if you wish, it will not affect the outcome. If you need to make the bread dairy-free, you can substitute plain coconut yogurt in place of Greek yogurt.
If you don’t have self-rising flour, you can make your own.
How to Make Self-Rising Flour
Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Directions:
- Add the flour, baking powder, and salt to a bowl.
- Mix together until thoroughly combined.
- Store in a sealed container until ready to use.
2-Ingredient Bread Recipe Variations
You can add different seasonings to this slow cooker bread recipe to add flavor. Some of our favorite additions include:
Rosemary Bread– Mix 2 teaspoons of dried rosemary into the dough. Sprinkle rosemary over the top of the loaf before you put it in the slow cooker.
Garlic Herb Bread – Mix 1 teaspoon of garlic powder and 2 teaspoons of Italian seasoning into the dough. Sprinkle garlic powder and parsley over the top of the loaf before you put it into the slow cooker.
Cinnamon Bread – Add 1 tablespoon of sugar, 2 teaspoons of vanilla, and 1 1/2 teaspoons of cinnamon to the dough. Sprinkle cinnamon sugar over the top of the loaf before you put it in the slow cooker.

PREP TIME: 8 minutes
TOTAL TIME: 2 hours 40 minutes
Ingredients:
- 2 cups self-rising flour
- 2 cups Greek yogurt
Directions:
- In a large bowl, add the self-rising flour and Greek yogurt. Mix well with a fork for approximately 2 minutes, and then finish working with your hands.
- Put the dough onto a lightly floured surface, and knead for 1 minute.
- Lightly flour a non-stick loaf pan, or use a light amount of non-stick spray. (You can also line the loaf pan with parchment paper instead). Form an oblong dough ball, and place the dough into the loaf pan.
- Turn the Crock-Pot or slow cooker on high, place the pan in the slow cooker, cover the slow cooker with a clean towel, and place the lid on top to secure the towel in place.
- Cook on high for approximately 2 hours and 15 -20 minutes.
- To brown the top of the loaf, preheat the oven to 450 degrees, and place the bread in the oven. Allow just enough time to brown the top portion of the bread. This should only take a couple of minutes.
- Allow the loaf of bread to cool for 10-15 minutes before removing it from the bread pan.
Slice the loaf of bread with a serrated bread knife for the best results.
How to Store 2 Ingredient Bread
Once the bread has cooled completely, you can store it in a sealed container or plastic bag for 2 days on your counter or 5 days in the refrigerator.
Can You Freeze 2 Ingredient Bread?
Yes, you can freeze this bread. You can freeze the whole loaf or freeze it sliced. To freeze, wrap it in plastic wrap and then place it in a sealed container.
