Air Fryer Hard-Boiled Eggs in a bowl.

Do you love hard-boiled eggs but hate the struggle of cooking and peeling them? Air Fryer Hard Boiled Eggs are the easiest method to cook and peel eggs!

Air Fryer Hard-Boiled Eggs in a bowl.

I can’t tell you how many methods I have tried for hard-boiling eggs: boiling longer, shorter, adding salt, baking soda, vinegar ice baths… I couldn’t find the perfect method. Also,  I have wasted so much egg white in the past when I tore out a chunk trying to peel the shell from the eggs.

I have loved having an air fryer since day one because it’s a great way to reduce fats and get your foods crispy without heating up the whole house for the oven. Air frying my hardboiled eggs just took it to a whole new level of appreciation and I won’t go back to making them any other way.

With a large air fryer like mine, you can easily make up to a dozen hard-boiled eggs at a time. I now find myself volunteering for deviled eggs for parties and making egg salad for lunch a lot more often since I learned this cooking trick.

Just in case you need inspiration I have a list of ideas for ways to use these delicious protein-packed hard-boiled eggs below.

10 ways to Use Hard-boiled Eggs

Egg Salad
Cobb Salad
Chef Salad
Plain Hard-Boiled Eggs
Pickled Eggs
Pea salad
Creamed Eggs on Toast
Deviled Eggs
In Potato or Macaroni Salad.
Eggs Benedict (soft boil)

How long are my hard-boiled eggs good for?

They will keep in the fridge for up to one week. If you store them peeled cover them in water or a damp paper towel. If stored with the shell on you can just pop them in a container and put them in the fridge.

Depending on which air fryer you have you may find that you need a little more or less cooking time, play around a bit and you will find your favorite texture in no time.

Ingredients:

  • 6-12 large eggs
  • Water
  • Ice

Eggs in a wire Basket

Tools Needed:

  • Air fryer
  • Large Bowl

Directions:

1. Preheat the air fryer to 270℉. This is important, you want to put your eggs in a preheated air fryer because if you count the preheating time in your cooking time your eggs may come out too soft-boiled.

2. Carefully place eggs in the basket of your air fryer, and leave the crisper plate/basket in place so the air circulates all around them.

3. Cook for 14-16 minutes for perfectly done eggs, a little less for a soft-boiled egg. You may notice little “crumbs” on the eggs. This is normal and is just a result of the high heat on the shells. Or it could be crumbs left in your air fryer, just kidding. I’m sure your air fryer is clean.

4. Immediately remove the eggs from the air fryer and place them in an ice water bath for 5 minutes to stop the cooking.

5. When you are ready to peel the shells, tap the eggs on the counter a few times to crack the shells and enjoy the easiest egg-peeling party you have ever had.
